151 - Anniversary

Guess where we went for our 16 year Anniversary this last weekend? After Napa (which is beautiful) we went along Highway 1 (which is also beautiful) and through San Fransisco. What a great weekend.

135 - Surf

Just look at the surf here. Such a beautiful sight along highway 1 in California.

163 - Temperature

This is an "Old Faithful Geiser" in Calistoga, CA. With only 3 in the entire world I knew I wanted to see it. It shoots up about every 40 minutes, because it's predictable, that is was makes it an "Old Faithful". This one reaches a very hot temperature of 350 degrees and then blows water into the air to cool itself down. It only lasts for about 5 minutes.

185 - Traffic

Here is traffic located in downtown San Fransisco. As you can see the marine layer was moving in.

167 - Model

The original creator, created this model of his home town. Each house, building and fences were placed exactly where they were in the real home town. It took many years and lots of artists to create, but was finally finished before he died in the 80's. It's big and wonderful to look at. What a true model of one owns town.

157 - Carriage

Here is a great carriage found inside the museum.

94 - Post Box

Here is a wall of post office boxes.

126 - Tools

Look at all these different tools once used in kitchens. Depending on your age you might say you have used some. Me? Just seen most in museums.

165 - Quilt

This quilt is made of silk and hand done. Not something that is done much of anymore. It was located in a museum along our weekend trip.

312 - Graffiti

This is inside the World War II military bunker. So sad that someone has to do this to property that does not belong to them.

73 - History

This photo is of an old World War II military bunker. It was used to guard the San Fransisco Bay.

152 - Tattoo

I thought this was a neat tattoo as far as tattoo's go. As for myself, I'm not into tattoo's and even told my friend he was stupid for getting one. His is of a football team the "Vikings," how stupid is that... what if the team gets sold and moves?

247 - Tradition

It's officially a "Tradition" now. My oldest daughter had her 8th birthday and her first doll cake. My 3rd now that I have made. I had these cakes when I was a child and now all of my girls have had one also. Even the cake pan was passed on to me to use.

276 - Pride

I take great pride in my photos. I submitted 5 photos for the 1st time into a photo competition and won a total of 3 ribbons. Here are 3rd place and 4th place with the photos that should look familiar. They are "Time" and "Tall". I'm so proud of myself, received some money too. :)

150 - Photo

If you look along the right hand side you will see a photo of my photo that I submitted to the local fair competition. I won 4th place for my "Hat" photo.

158 - Fear

This is my oldest. At only 7 years old she is now old enough and tall enough to go on the big kid rides. If you look close, she is up far enough now that she is started to get scared and says "I Love You" in sign language with both of her hands.

7 - Smile

She was the only one small enough to go on this ride, she smiled the entire time.

225 - Fairground

This fairground was ALOT of fun!

230 - Transport

This train transported the kids and daddy in a "U" shape.

362 - Friendship

These 5 get along so well together.

334 - Car

What a cool car!

237 - Motorbike

Motorbike/Motorcycle... close enough!

303 - Costume

What a great costume for the parade we went to.

33 - Stripey

Did you know that every Zebra is different? Those stripes are all different in one way or another, that is how they all tell each other apart.

189 - Spots

This is a baby Giraffe, with soooooo many spots. How cute!

175 - Crowd

Here is an organized crowd, now that sounds funny... organized. But they were all sitting on the other side of the street watching the parade go by.

54 - Festival

This here is of a marching band that was in the parade, starting out the festival.

115 - Flag

We went to a parade and saw so many interesting things, this one was full of flags.

366 - Discovery

Can you imagine what discoveries you would find through this? My girls were able to look at feathers, money and small bones.

It's been awhile!!

Sure has been awhile since my last post. So long in fact that I had to reset my password as I forgot the one that I was using. Ok so now to play catch up on photos and check out everyone elses photos. Sorry I have been away for so long.

Theme 62 - Exotic

These beautiful exotic parrots live on average of 75 years. I almost put this under the theme of commitment.

Theme 353 - Waiting

While my youngest was waiting for her sisters, she asked me to take a picture of her. Boy she loves having her photo taken. Her 2 other sisters were on the 2 story slide located in the house behind her.

Theme 291 - Emergency

You won't put out too many fires with this fire truck if there was an emergency, but it sure was fun to play on.

Theme 100 - Carved

This carved rock looks very sad to me.

Theme 190 - Farm Yard

My girls were just fine touching this goat as long as it stayed in one place.

Theme 12 - Performance

We watched a puppet show this past week about a Princess who kisses a frog and the frog then turns into a prince. The kids loved this performance.

Theme 348 - Distorted

I loved these kind of mirrors as a child, and my kids just loved them too. They always made you look so... distorted and funny.

Theme 330 - Cobbles

So where does this cobble stone path lead too?

Theme 70 - Spider Web

Well isn't that a cute spider stuck in this spider web?

Theme 170 - Shoe

Is it a shoe? Is it a house? No, it is a slide that the kids had fun playing on. It's from "There once was an old lady who lived in a shoe..."

Theme 72 - Dandelion

Dandelions, my kids just love them. They love to blow all those seeds off the stem, what great fun being a kid! We see at least 3-4 a day now.

Theme 61 - View

What a great view from "Lombard Street". Built in 1934, Coit Tower, which is built on top of Telegraph Hill, is 210 feet high.

Theme 108- House

Being the most photographed set/group of houses, here is what they call "The Painted Ladies". All victorians with bright beautiful colors.

Theme 113 - Iconic

Cable Cars, those clanging symbols of San Francisco, are the way to see the city. But it only covers a ten-mile section of downtown. The cable car was invented in 1873 by Andrew Hallidie and works via an underground cable which travels continuously at a speed of nine-and-a-half miles per hour.

Theme 364 - Zig Zag

Here is "The Crookedest Street In The World", Lombard Street.

Theme 246 - Swing

Here is Grandpa, visiting from Minnesota, pushing his youngest Granddaughter on the swing.

Theme 315 - Knowledge

This was such a cute school house with such a beautiful tree in bloom. What a great place for someone to learn and gain some great knowledge in their lives to come.

Theme 256 - Timetable

This tree is over 2000 years old. If you look close enough they have put little plaques along the tree rings to show when things happened during the life of this tree. In the middle, where the tree started, it says "When Jesus was born" etc..

Theme 192 - Sunset

After a wonderful day at the redwoods and the tide pools, we ended our day watching this beautiful sunset in Santa Cruz.

Theme 153 - Footprint

Here is our footprint at the beach in Santa Cruz.
